<p>Sharing pictures and stories on the walk software personal page already start that relationship building.    The participants are competing with each other online to raise more donations and this makes them feel like they know each the day of the event comes and the meet for the first time in person.</p>
<p>Why is it important for your run or walk software to offer online registration? Here are just a few benefits for your consideration:</p>

<p><strong>How should you be linking to your walk software?</strong><br />
Ideally, you need your visitors to recognize the logo of your event and what we like to call “the flavor” of the event. Per example, a small charity could post a picture such as this one on the main home page.  Clicking on this link should take you directly to the run, walk software or in this case, a bike tour website.  This image should match your brochure and other marketing material and should be visible from the main home page and ideally, under the side menu where it is always visible form anywhere on your site.<br />
Once your client had been redirected to your run or walk software, it need to be obvious that we are at the right place. Upload a header that matches the event branding.  Your organization logo is secondary.  The most important thing is the flavor of the event.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many financial institutions offer online payment gateway but no one can beat Paypal nor Google check-out when it comes to pricing.  Its a nice way to process credit cards from your website.  However, it could be confusing for your donors / registrants when comes the time to proceed with their transaction.</p>
<p>When one of your client lands on the Paypal page to proceed with a credit card payment, Paypal does not always make it obvious that your options are a) pay by credit card and b) Use Paypal to make a payment.  The most obvious option is almost alway to Login to Paypal or to create a paypal account.  However, 99% of your clients are not interested in going through the process of creating an account, they just want to pay!<span id="more-1375"></span></p>
<p>For that reason, we recommend adding further instruction on your website prior to re-directing to Paypal.  Within our fundraising software, we took care of that for you.</p>
<p>If we take per example DR*Pledge fundraising software, we took really good care of adding a small text as well as a screenshot of what they may see after being redirecting.  Example:</p>

<p>Right above the Proceed button, DR*Pledge Fundraising Software explains to the donors that they will be re-directed for security reasons and it shows them clearly where to click.  Versions of this landing page changes constantly. After clicking on &#8220;Continue with check out&#8221; the next page is the credit cards screen (below).  Unfortunately, we have no control over what version of the page your clients will land on.  We chose this particular version for our screenshot because their most confusing version. If you look at it more closely, it says &#8220;<strong>Sign up for a Paypal account and</strong> <span style="color: #3366ff;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">continue with checkout</span></span>.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Ideally, if one of your donor has never logged on to Paypal from their computer, the screen they would normally land to would be the credit card page below. </strong></p>

<p>We at Camp Arnes believe that to live a life of growth, we need to share, love and give back! <p>This year our new website design allowed us to introduce the TEAM aspect for the personal challenge. Outside of our normal camper canvassing, we’re giving the opportunity to challenge companies or families to join in the cause to: “Green” our planet, Give back to Winnipeg and to make a difference in a child’s life. Through the team challenge, you will be responsible for a large stretch of Winnipeg to pick up garbage and to “green” your environment.</p>
<p>Every year Camp Arnes puts on a Clean &amp; Green fundraising event. Clean &amp; Green is a great way for campers to lower their camp fees.</p>
